Community Guidelines

Effective Date: 31 July 2026

1. Our Community

DAK exists to help Korean-speaking residents, students, visitors, and anyone interested in Korean-related services in Adelaide connect, share reliable information, and support one another.

We encourage respectful discussions, helpful contributions, and a welcoming environment for everyone.

2. Be Respectful

Treat other users with respect.

Do not:

  • Harass or intimidate others.

  • Use abusive or offensive language.

  • Personally attack individuals.

  • Encourage discrimination or hate.

  • Threaten violence.

Healthy disagreement is welcome. Personal attacks are not.

DAK reserves the right to remove content or take moderation action where respectful discussion standards are not maintained.

3. Post Accurate Information

Before posting information:

  • Check that it is accurate.

  • Clearly distinguish facts from personal opinions.

  • Avoid spreading rumours or misinformation.

When sharing important public information, include the original source whenever possible.

Users are responsible for ensuring that information they publish is accurate to the best of their knowledge at the time of posting.

4. Spam and Advertising

Do not:

  • Post repetitive content.

  • Flood discussions.

  • Send unsolicited promotional messages.

  • Create multiple accounts to promote content.

  • Manipulate engagement.

Business promotion should use the appropriate business listing or approved promotional features where available.

DAK may remove promotional content that is posted outside the designated business promotion channels.

5. Reviews

Reviews should:

  • Reflect genuine personal experiences.

  • Be honest and fair.

  • Focus on the service or experience.

Do not:

  • Publish fake reviews.

  • Accept payment for positive reviews without disclosure.

  • Coordinate review manipulation.

  • Businesses and users remain solely responsible for the accuracy and legality of any reviews they submit.

6. Illegal or Harmful Content

The following content is prohibited:

  • Illegal activities.

  • Fraud or scams.

  • Identity theft.

  • Copyright infringement.

  • Malware or phishing.

  • Dangerous or unlawful instructions.

7. Offensive Content

Do not post content containing:

  • Hate speech.

  • Racist remarks.

  • Sexual exploitation.

  • Graphic violence.

  • Extreme harassment.

  • Content that promotes illegal activity.

8. Privacy

Respect everyone's privacy.

Do not publish another person's:

  • Phone number

  • Home address

  • Email address

  • Identity documents

  • Financial information

  • Personal photographs without permission

  • Do not publish any personal information where doing so would breach applicable privacy laws or another person's reasonable expectation of privacy.

9. AI-Generated Content

AI-generated content is permitted provided that:

  • It is not misleading.

  • It does not impersonate others.

  • It complies with these Guidelines.

  • The user remains responsible for its accuracy.

  • AI-generated content must not be presented as verified factual information unless independently confirmed.

10. Business Listings

Business owners should:

  • Keep information accurate.

  • Update opening hours.

  • Respond professionally to customers.

  • Avoid misleading claims.

Repeated false information may result in listing suspension.

Business Listings are also subject to the DAK Business Listing Policy.

11. Australia Updates

DAK may publish AI-assisted summaries of publicly available information.

Users should not repost copyrighted material in full.

Whenever possible, link to the original source instead of copying substantial portions of the content.

AI-generated summaries are provided for informational purposes and do not replace official announcements or original sources.

12. Reporting Content

Users may report content they believe violates these Guidelines.

Reports are reviewed by DAK moderators.

Submitting false or abusive reports may itself violate these Guidelines.

DAK may request additional information where necessary to investigate reported content.

13. Enforcement

Depending on the severity of the violation, DAK may:

  • Remove content.

  • Issue a warning.

  • Temporarily restrict features.

  • Suspend an account.

  • Permanently ban an account.

  • Remove business listings.

Serious or repeated violations may result in immediate account termination.\

DAK may take immediate action without prior notice where necessary to protect users, comply with legal obligations, or maintain platform security.

14. Appeals

If you believe moderation action was taken in error, you may contact DAK through our official support channels.

Appeals will be reviewed in good faith, but moderation decisions remain at DAK's discretion.

Submission of an appeal does not guarantee that moderation action will be reversed.

15. Changes

These Community Guidelines may be updated from time to time.

Continued use of DAK after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Guidelines.

The latest version of these Community Guidelines will always be available on the DAK website.
