1. Acceptance of These Terms

Welcome to Discover Adelaide Korea ("DAK", "we", "our", or "us").

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the DAK website, applications, and related services.

By creating an account or using DAK, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree, you must not use our services.

2. Eligibility

To use DAK you must:

  • Be legally capable of entering into a binding agreement under applicable law.

  • Provide accurate registration information.

  • Maintain the security of your account credentials.

You are responsible for all activities conducted through your account.

You must not create an account on behalf of another person without proper authority or permission.

3. User Accounts

You agree to:

  • Keep your information accurate and up to date.

  • Maintain the confidentiality of your password.

  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

We may also require users to verify their identity or account ownership where reasonably necessary to protect the security or integrity of the platform.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Break any applicable laws.

  • Impersonate another person or business.

  • Upload malware or malicious code.

  • Attempt unauthorised access to DAK systems.

  • Interfere with the operation of the platform.

  • Scrape, copy, or harvest platform content without permission.

  • Use automated tools, bots or scripts in a manner that unreasonably interferes with the operation, security or performance of DAK.

  • Circumvent security or access restrictions.

5. Community Content

Users may submit:

  • Posts

  • Comments

  • Reviews

  • Photos

  • Other community content

You are solely responsible for the content you publish.

You must not post content that is:

  • Illegal

  • Defamatory

  • Harassing

  • Hateful

  • Fraudulent

  • Sexually explicit

  • Violent

  • Spam or misleading

DAK may remove content or restrict accounts that violate these Terms.

DAK may also preserve, review or disclose content where reasonably necessary to investigate suspected policy violations, protect users or comply with legal obligations.

6. Business Directory

Businesses are responsible for ensuring that their listings are accurate, complete, and up to date.

DAK may verify information where practical but does not guarantee the accuracy of business listings.

Business owners remain solely responsible for the information they publish.

DAK reserves the right to edit, suspend, remove or refuse business listings that breach these Terms or other applicable DAK policies.

7. Reviews and Ratings

Reviews must reflect genuine personal experiences.

Users must not:

  • Post fake reviews.

  • Exchange incentives for reviews without disclosure.

  • Harass businesses through the review system.

DAK reserves the right to remove reviews that violate these Terms.

8. Australia Updates

DAK may publish summaries of publicly available information from trusted sources.

Summaries are provided for convenience only.

Users should consult the original source or relevant authority before relying on any information.

Publication of summaries does not imply endorsement of the original source or guarantee the accuracy or completeness of the underlying information.

9. AI Features

DAK may provide AI-assisted services including search, summaries, recommendations, and local assistance.

AI-generated responses:

  • May be incomplete or inaccurate.

  • Are provided for general informational purposes only.

  • Do not constitute legal, financial, immigration, medical, or professional advice.

Users are responsible for verifying important information independently.

Users should not submit confidential, highly sensitive or third-party personal information to AI features unless authorised to do so.

10. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, DAK and its original content, branding, software, graphics, and design are owned by DAK or its licensors.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or commercially exploit DAK content without prior written permission.

You retain ownership of the content you submit, but grant DAK a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, reproduce, and distribute that content for operating and promoting the service.

You represent and warrant that you have all necessary rights, permissions and licences to submit the content and grant the licence described above.

11. Premium Services

If DAK offers paid subscriptions:

  • Fees will be clearly displayed before purchase.

  • Billing terms will be disclosed at checkout.

  • Additional terms may apply to Premium features.

  • Refunds will be handled in accordance with applicable consumer laws and any published refund policy.

  • DAK may modify subscription pricing or available Premium features upon reasonable prior notice, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

12. Third-Party Services

DAK may contain links to third-party websites or services.

We are not responsible for the content, security, availability, or privacy practices of third-party services.

Users access third-party services at their own risk.

Your use of third-party services is governed by the terms and privacy policies of those third parties.

13. Suspension and Termination

DAK may suspend or terminate accounts that:

  • Violate these Terms.

  • Engage in fraudulent activity.

  • Abuse platform features.

  • Threaten platform security.

  • Repeatedly breach community standards.

Where appropriate, users may appeal moderation decisions through our support process.

DAK may retain certain account information following suspension or termination where reasonably necessary for legal compliance, fraud prevention, dispute resolution or enforcement purposes.

14. Disclaimer

DAK is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DAK makes no warranties regarding:

  • Accuracy

  • Availability

  • Reliability

  • Suitability for a particular purpose

Service interruptions, bugs, or errors may occur.

Users acknowledge that use of DAK is at their own risk to the extent permitted by applicable law.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, DAK and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use of the service.

Nothing in these Terms excludes rights that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer protection laws.

Where liability cannot be excluded by law, DAK's liability will be limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

16. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless DAK, its operators, employees, and affiliates from claims, liabilities, losses, or expenses arising from your misuse of the service or your breach of these Terms.

This indemnity applies only to the extent permitted by applicable law.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

Material changes will be announced through the website or other appropriate communication channels.

Continued use of DAK after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

18. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of South Australia and, where applicable, the laws of Australia.

Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of South Australia, unless otherwise required by applicable law.

19. Events

DAK lists events organised by other people and organisations, transcribed from announcements published elsewhere.

DAK is not the organiser of any event listed, does not run, sponsor or endorse it, and is not a party to any arrangement between an attendee and an organiser.

DAK does not verify that an event will take place as described. Times, venues, prices and entry conditions change after they are transcribed, and an event may be postponed or cancelled without DAK being told.

Before attending, users should confirm the details with the organiser or through the original announcement, which DAK links to where one is available.

To the extent permitted by law, DAK is not liable for any loss arising from attending, being unable to attend, or relying on the details of a listed event.

Organisers may request that a listing be corrected or removed by contacting admin@discoveradelaidekorea.au.

20. Rental Listings

DAK publishes rental listings — rooms, share houses, whole properties and lease transfers — advertised by landlords, tenants, agents and accommodation operators. Some are transcribed from advertisements published elsewhere; others are supplied directly by the advertiser.

DAK is not a landlord, a tenant, a real estate agent, a property manager or a letting agent. DAK does not hold a licence under the Land Agents Act 1994 (SA), does not act for any party to a tenancy, and is not a party to any arrangement between an advertiser and a person responding to a listing.

DAK does not inspect properties, verify that a property exists, verify that an advertiser has the right to let it, or verify that any detail of a listing is accurate. Rent, availability, conditions and inclusions change after they are recorded, and a property may be let or withdrawn without DAK being told.

Users must not send money before independently satisfying themselves that a property and an advertiser are genuine. Advance-payment fraud is a known risk in rental advertising. In South Australia a bond must be lodged with Consumer and Business Services, not held by a landlord, and no payment beyond a bond and up to two weeks' rent in advance may lawfully be required at the start of a tenancy. A request that departs from this is a reason to stop and seek advice.

Nothing published by DAK constitutes legal, financial or tenancy advice, or a recommendation of any property, advertiser or arrangement.

To the extent permitted by law, DAK is not liable for any loss arising from responding to a listing, entering into or failing to enter into a tenancy, or relying on the details of a listing.

Advertisers may request that a listing be corrected or removed by contacting admin@discoveradelaidekorea.au. Requests relating to an advertiser's own listing or details will be actioned without requiring a reason.

21. External Rental Listings

Some rental listings on DAK are recorded from advertisements published elsewhere and are marked as external. For these, DAK has had no contact with the advertiser.

DAK has not spoken to the advertiser, has not verified that the property exists or is still available, and has no means of knowing whether an advertisement has been withdrawn or its terms changed. An external listing records what an advertisement said on the date DAK checked it, and nothing more.

External listings carry no contact details. Enquiries must go through the original advertisement, which is linked from the listing.

External listings are removed automatically fourteen days after they are recorded. A listing that has not expired is not, for that reason, current.

To the extent permitted by law, DAK is not liable for any loss arising from relying on an external listing, from contacting an advertiser found through one, or from a listing being inaccurate, out of date or withdrawn.

Anyone who placed an advertisement recorded by DAK may have it removed by contacting admin@discoveradelaidekorea.au. No reason is required.
