Moderation Policy

Moderation & Enforcement Policy

Effective Date: 31 July 2026

1. Purpose

This Moderation & Enforcement Policy explains how Discover Adelaide Korea ("DAK") reviews user-generated content, investigates reports, and enforces its Community Guidelines and Terms of Service.

Our goal is to maintain a safe, respectful, and trustworthy platform while applying moderation decisions fairly and consistently.

2. Scope

This Policy applies to all content and activity on DAK, including:

  • User accounts

  • Community posts

  • Comments

  • Reviews

  • Business listings

  • Images and videos

  • Private messages (where applicable)

  • AI-assisted content submitted by users

3. Reporting Content

Users may report content they believe violates DAK policies.

Reports may include concerns such as:

  • Spam

  • Harassment

  • Fake reviews

  • Misinformation

  • Copyright infringement

  • Offensive content

  • Fraud or scams

  • Impersonation

  • Illegal activity

Submitting intentionally false or malicious reports may itself violate this Policy.

DAK may request additional information from the reporting party where reasonably necessary to investigate a report.

4. Moderation Process

When a report is received, DAK may:

  1. Review the reported content.

  2. Consider available evidence and context.

  3. Determine whether a policy has been violated.

  4. Take appropriate action if necessary.

Not every report will result in enforcement action.

Moderation decisions are made based on the information reasonably available to DAK at the time of review.

5. Possible Enforcement Actions

Depending on the severity or frequency of the violation, DAK may:

  • Take no action

  • Issue a warning

  • Remove or edit content

  • Limit specific platform features

  • Temporarily suspend an account

  • Permanently terminate an account

  • Remove or suspend a business listing

Serious violations may result in immediate suspension without prior warning.

DAK reserves the right to determine the appropriate enforcement action based on the specific circumstances of each case.

6. Factors Considered

When determining an appropriate response, DAK may consider:

  • Severity of the violation

  • User intent

  • Previous violations

  • Frequency of misconduct

  • Potential harm to users

  • Compliance with previous warnings

Each case is assessed individually.

No single factor is determinative, and DAK may consider additional relevant circumstances where appropriate.

7. Business Listings

Business listings may be moderated if they contain:

  • False information

  • Fake promotions

  • Misleading advertising

  • Copyright infringement

  • Offensive material

  • Repeated policy violations

Where appropriate, DAK may request corrections before removing a listing.

Business Listings are also subject to the DAK Business Listing Policy.

8. Reviews

Reviews may be removed where DAK reasonably believes they are:

  • Fake

  • Fraudulent

  • Duplicated

  • Coordinated for manipulation

  • Irrelevant to the business

  • In breach of DAK policies

Negative reviews alone will not be removed simply because they are critical.

Reviews that violate applicable laws or DAK policies may be removed regardless of their rating.

9. AI-Assisted Moderation

DAK may use AI tools to assist in identifying potentially harmful or policy-violating content.

Final moderation decisions may involve human review, particularly for complex or disputed cases.

AI-assisted moderation is used as a support tool and does not replace human judgment where human review is required.

10. Appeals

If you believe your content or account was moderated in error, you may submit an appeal through DAK's official support channels.

Appeals should include:

  • Your account details

  • The action being appealed

  • Any relevant supporting information

DAK will review appeals in good faith.

Submission of an appeal does not guarantee that the original moderation decision will be changed or reversed.

11. Emergency Situations

DAK may immediately restrict access to content or accounts where reasonably necessary to protect:

  • User safety

  • Platform security

  • Compliance with applicable laws

  • Intellectual property rights

Immediate action may be taken without prior notice where appropriate.

DAK may also cooperate with law enforcement or relevant authorities where required by applicable law.

12. No Guarantee of Moderation

Although DAK works to maintain a safe community, we cannot guarantee that all harmful or inappropriate content will be detected or removed immediately.

Users are encouraged to report content that may violate DAK policies.

Users remain responsible for their own interactions and should exercise appropriate judgment when using the platform.

13. Policy Updates

This Policy may be updated from time to time.

Material changes will be published on the DAK website.

Continued use of DAK after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.

The latest version of this Policy will always be available on the DAK website.

14. Contact

Questions regarding moderation decisions or this Policy may be submitted through DAK's official support channels or by contacting admin@discoveradelaidekorea.au.
